I don't think anyone needs to be "tactful" towards Israel. Any British
Jew who claims to have suffered some form of PTSD or grief reaction as a
result of Israel being compared to Nazi Germany, is unworthy of support
or consideration. Either bonkers, or a fraud.

Those of us, and there are quite a lot of us, who actually do have
families who were persecuted by the Nazis and whose family members were
murdered by Nazis, do not find it "tactless" to compare any nation with
Nazi Germany and do not argue in favour of a special exemption for
Israel. Either the comparison is valid or it isn't. But it doesn't hurt
 our feelings.

I don't think it's at all the same as misgendering a trans or binary
person. That's tactless and unnecessary and can no doubt cause real
pain. There is such a thing as being too tactful, too protective of
cultural sensitivity. Thus, if Asian shopkeepers are grooming underage
white girls, let's not call it tactless to say that they are Asian and
they need to be brought to justice.
