popups are machine killers and should be regarded as a form of
DenialOfService attacks normally attributed solely to hackers (does it
matter if they transmit thousands of 1k "packets", or hundreds of 8-30k
GIFs? the result is often the same.
These things don't just popup in porn sites; once a malignant cookie is
installed, it can activate whenever you visit a "member" site.
cleaning your cookies manually more often would do wonders (and prevents
ad-servers from selling any information they might otherwise glean from you
by way of determining you as a "GenuineUserID"), but it is still a nuisance.
And yes, i'll admit it- prior to being married, I bought nude magazines, and
scanned the odd adult content page, too.
Whoopie- shit. most of the women i hung out with actually enjoyed going to
topless bars; oddly enough it was I who wanted to leave!
