It's a moderated group. It could be that the moderator has disappeared,
which means that there is no one to approve postings, therefore nothing
gets posted.
One of the members of the news.announce.newgroups moderation team has been
looking into inactive moderated groups and either finding replacement
moderators for them, or else removing the groups if no one is interested.
I've crossposted this to news.groups so maybe he'll see this and respond.
I've also set followups so that they go only to news.groups, by default,
so you should go over to that group to see if anything develops.
