hi Cheryl, I have used varied news groups for several years, and found most
people that post go for months or more years, but within the cat groups,
people start posting and soon stop because of all the personal abuse they
get. If they have a new cat they like to ask a few questions, (we all had to
start somewhere)... they get told things like "you shouldn't have a cat if
you don't know how to look after it" etc!
so of course these new people stop posting, its a shame because there is a
lot of good knowledge available within the groups, but far too much personal
attack on people.
