Glad the other install went smooth.
I think I remember a warning in earlier release notes against running the
upgrade in a graphical console.
What you always can do, though, is to open a screen or tmux session. That
could be attached to even if your graphical console is not reacting anymore.
(Alt+Fn knowledge is probably in the decline so it might still be a good
idea
to mention it in any upgrade guides.)
