For most people it is surely accidental, and sending a reminder to check for open MRs like I did today can help. There are many ways to easily check. As a picture explains more than a thousand words, put some screenshots at https://wiki2025.debian.org/wiki/Salsa to showcase. I am contemplating if I should share the cases of bad behavior my mentees experienced when trying to contribute, as you don't seem to believe that such could have happened. For now I think that just reminding people about checking MRs and reviewing them as a general advice is the best course of action. Also note that I suggest people to *review* MRs, I didn't say at any point that one must accept and merge all contributions. For many Linux users who want to contribute to Debian their first step is to file a bug or file a Merge Request, and it would be a shame if they simply go ignored. --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05 * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2) |
