Subj: Bug#1112281: Breaks zsnapd ZFS network b
 From: matt@mattgrant.net.nz

 Package: python3-magcode-core
 Version: 1.5.4-5
 Severity: grave
 Tags: upstream
 X-Debbugs-Cc: matt@mattgrant.net.nz

Lost VM backups becuause of this bug. Also affects zsnapd package.
 Upstream
1.5.7 fixes this bug, and backups work...

Python 13 syslog.syslog() throws ValueError exceptions when the log messages
usually created by this package are sent. This broke the secure ssh
 transfer
set up via zsnapd-rcmd sshd received command regexp filtering on the backup
target, which uses root ssh access. Fortuneately if failed securely, but I
lost a lot of work as ZFS backups were not functioning.
