 Oh, I know .. not trying to justify wrecking an 
 aircraft .. quite the opposite, in fact. 
  
 I was responding to Sean's comment about not believing the 
 spoilers were on through the whole crash .. they got 
 themselves into a situation that got out of hand 
 very quickly, and, my guess is they were so overwhelmed 
 so quickly, they simply forgot about the spoilers.

 Hey!  I was there!  I remember that, too ... happened the same day 
 I soloed, if I recall right ...

 Indeed .. and the Flight Safety website shows that exactly this 
 situation happened again, just this past summer, again in Picton.
