I can .. having flown out of Picton for a couple
of summers, it seemed that there was always at least
one herb who would get overloaded ... crosswind,
or downwind, lower/higher than expected, lift or sink, other
traffic, etc. and would yank on the spoilers
on downwind or base, and then forget about them, and
would wind up planting a glider in the trees.
I imagine it was similar with CLR ... as soon as they
started the pullup, and started the turn, things
probably unravelled pretty quickly .. and voila,
same sort of overload situation.
I would imagine they had no idea the spoilers were
on, until seeing the pictures after the fact.
