As are golf clubs, and baseball bats, but folks still use them
recreartionally and enjoy them.
Were you aware that studies in some Northern U.S. states show that
youth who get firearms safety training and own firearms are far less
likely to be involved in gangs, or do anything that will result in
criminal charges.

Folks who choose to take aspirin regualarly, or under the supervision
of a physician to relieve pain run far greater risks than the average
Canadian from getting shot. Gunshot wounds are extremely rare in
Canada.
>Guns don't have any uses other than to kill or wound.
Once again you are wrong. A gun shoots a bullet. There are millions of
bullets fired in Canada every year that are not fired at humans or
unsafely. When one considers how many times firearms really are used
in Canada and the very low number of accidents, firarms are very safe.
IT is a human with criminal intent who decides to shoot at other
humans. Miscreants who have values that allow them to do this will do
other illegal and immoral things. They should be delt with.
