-=> Quoting Mark Hofmann to Nancy Backus on 08 Feb 14 10:34:26 <=-               NB>> We've been colder than you... but I think you may have been getting        NB>> more snow... at least in this last wave of storms... :) Tonight and        NB>> tomorrow they're saying we might get 6-10", but with that first wave we        NB>> only got maybe 2"... At the moment we have much too much ice from rain        NB>> and melt-off... :(               MH> We had a big ice storm in the middle of this week. Schools were        MH> closed for two days in my county. Trees down all over the place,        MH> wires in the roads, etc. A total mess.               Part of that Philly ice storm, eh...? Ice storms of that magnitude are       no fun... and it seems the south is getting more than their share this       year, too...               MH> Just glad we didn't lose power, like many others around here did.               Yes, that is a blessing... :) I noticed that the bbs stayed up... :)              Bbs question, btw... For a while now, the weather report at login has       been at least partly unreadable, since it doesn't pause after the first       screen, just quickly scrolls the whole thing to the end... seems to me       it used to pause... There are other places where there doesn't seem to       be a necessary pause kicking in, too... like help screens, bulletins...              ttyl neb              ... Get the facts first - you can distort them later!       --- Blue Wave/DOS v2.20        * Origin: The Holodeck BBS holo.homeip.net (1:261/1381)    |
