   Yes, that is what makes the rare east coast earthquakes much different than   
   west coast ones.  It effects a much larger area on the east coast.     
      
   It felt like we were the epicenter here in Bel Air, Maryland.  Lots of noise   
   and the entire house was shaking.  I heard today that some people at my work   
   ran out of the building thinking the building was falling down (we have lots   
   of construction going on).
