   The epicenter was 40 Mi. northwest of Richmond VA. It was felt through   
   Washington D.C. to New York City and as far south as Chapel Hill, North   
   Carolina. There are even reports of shaking as far west as Columbus, Ohio, and   
   out on Martha's Vineyard.   
      
   My Uncle Ralph who lives in VA. said it was on a very old fault.. I guess it   
   was felt because of the solid bedrock, not broken up with a lot of faults like   
   in CA.
