   I was really only basing that on about 2-3 years worth of extreme weather here   
   in Maryland.  The years that we picked up record snows were also years we had   
   very few hurricanes.  It also seemed to work the other way around.  The year   
   we had all the hurricanes, we have an average/below average snowfall.   
      
   That is why I get excited when I don't see many hurricanes.. :)   
      
   It will be hard to top our winter from two years ago when we picked up 94" of   
   snow for the season.  Complete with (3) blizzards, (2) of them in the same   
   week!
