   Hi Richard,

   >> Hope so :)

   >> unless it spins off a bunch
   >> of tornadoes coming up into TEnnessee, then we won't have
   >> time to think,

   >> Yeah, I can imagine that..

   > Which they could easily do, but no time to think about run
   > then.

Yeah, more like the old duck and cover we learned in gradeschool I'd think..
except this would be duck and run :)

   >> but then, back in '08 that tornado sorta took out my shack in
   >> the woods here in TEnnessee too. I was
   >> running a sky warn net meanwhile, the weather service
   >> operator had been told to evacuate to the basement. I was
   >> on battery power running a sky warn net and my rottweiler
   >> puppy in her crate was going crazy.

   >> Aw I can imagine that!

   > INdeed, I crated her around there because it was still a
   > construction zone, and dangerous to a puppy that can't be
   > carefully supervised, and obviously I had no resources with
   > which to supervise a puppy while glued to the radio .

Dogs are so sensitive to weather, it amazes me.. when we living in KY, our
Labs were our "early warning" system

   > Yep, tore the back end of the house up, roof off it, dropped some pretty good
   > tree limbs but my funky 30 foot tower
   > remained standing.

That's good.. I chuckled a bit though when reading your description of what
"nature" did to your home - not that it's anything to chuckle at, but it made
me remember thee damage those Labs did on the house there in KY.. darn..
Priscilla and Midnight (two female labs from the same litter) literally ate
the plasterboard and wooden floors .... thankfully our current full-breed
Lab, Toby doesn't care for plasterboard or wood.. But I've noticed our Lab mix
pup Sophie liking the taste of our floors here though Lol. What they do is
lick the floor until the wood softens and then it's easy to dig through with
they're teeth Sophie does notice when any thunderstorms, etc. are coming,
and makes sure to let me know .

   Take care,
   Janis
