YEp, that's as I saw when i pulled everything from this link around 5 cdt.
This morning as I said in the post that
crossed this one in fidospace they sure called that one
wrong this morning. THe weather folks at nhc said she'd get stronger after
she left HIspaniola over open water.

Still as I told Janis though, I think we're looking for a
good old fashioned butt kicking with one as the season wears on. Iirc '05
really started cranking things up about this
time of year. I know the prognosticators have been warning
of harder hitting tropical cyclones now for the last few
years, and we've been pretty good at dodging bullets since
Gustav, I think I activated for emergency net graveyard
shift ncs duty for one storm all last season, and manned 75
meters between 2 and 4 a.m. one night, and by then it landed as a tropical
storm and didn't do a whole lot of anything,
while I was on the air.

I do think this one's starting to look to me like it could
go that way at this point. We've had steady higher than
normal temps all over NOrth America, we've got drought
conditions even in places that were getting saturated last
spring, and all it takes now is for one to sit out there
over open waters and spin around sucking up moisture from
the ocean below and it's rock 'n roll time.

   Regards,
              Richard
