I was sure they would be, and that it wouldn't last,
   whatever you all got .

RW> Meanwhile, I've got sunshine, blue skies and I aws doing
RW> some antenna work on the tower this afternoon .

Oh I'm sure I will . The antenna even worked, and I
violated the first principle of building a new antenna. You know you're
supposed to do them when the weather's not fit
for man nor beast, because then, or so the story goes,
you'll do it right, and the antenna will play nice. IF you
do it when it's nice you'll have to do more work on it.

Just as well, it's my emergency deployment 80 meter wire
dipole, to be replaced by an 80 meter full wave loop when my buddy from
FLorida makes a side trip when he heads to
Baltimore. HE's known as quite the full wave loop guru, and I've wanted to
see if I could get one to play on this lot
for a long time, and he thinks we can do it.

I note you commented you're cooler than normal for this time of year up
there. YEah wouldn't doubt it. WAs talking to a guy on the radio Monday
   morning who's in northern quebec,
and he aid they were in the 40's fahrenheit for highs.

I finally bit the bullet over the weekend adn fired up the
air conditioner to keep Kathy breathing good, but last night when we got home
from radio club meeting around ten I killed them and opened windows again.
   I'm still sandals and short
sleeves, but windows are open, and a nice breeze is blowing
   in.

   Regards,
              Richard
