Hi Mark,              On Sat 2012-Mar-10 20:41, Mark Hofmann (1:261/1304) wrote to Richard Webb:              RW> That doesn't surprise me, I've seen quite a few days of       RW> shirtsleeve weather outside, which even for here is weird.       RW> But then, end of last week we're getting slapped around by       RW> the late winter tornadoes, Branson MIssouri and parts of       RW> INdiana and Kentucky, etc. Pretty strange stuff.              MH> Maryland weather just continues to bounce back and forth,       MH> temperature wise.               MH> For instance, Monday we had snow flurries and in the low 30s for a       MH> high. Wednesday it was in the 60s, and Thursday it went up to 70!              YEp that's what I'm hearing from elsewhere.              MH> Today (Saturday) it is back to the cold weather, but tomorrow is       MH> supposed to be in the low 60s!              Went out to run errands yesterday, shirtsleeve weather, but       waht we've sure had is the gusty winds, no moisture       traveling with them though it seems, and that's going to       hurt all the agriculture around here. I haven't walked up       to the local hospital to check out their ham radio comms       setup lately, but usually when I do my gauge of how we're       doing for moisture is a small stream I cross on a bridge.       I'll bet you that stream's pretty low.       I've sort of studied that stream there near the highway       rather carefully anyway, because one of our exercises for       those of us who are volunteer hospital communicators was       surveying our routes to/from our assignments with an eye       toward not going over, or under a bridge. Natch, becauseof       New Madrid our main concern there is quakes.              I figured that unless that stream is rather swollen I could       probably ford it on foot.              Regards,        Richard       ---        * Origin: (1:116/901)    |
