   Hi Nancy,

Keeps me running the heat less too actually, rather do it
with bedding than with burning fuel. Also remember we've
one wall heater, we're in a part of the world where they
still get winter in actuality but folks don't grok how to
   live with it .
Insulation, what's that? . WHole house heating etc. is a rarityit seems.

RW> have been rather nice, a little chill with some rain earlier this

RW> steaks I bought a couple months ago when that salesman came to the
RW> door selling them, he came close to getting the bum's rush, but he
RW> talked real fast, and i'd like to throw them on the charcoal grill once
RW> more before it gets too cold. See what happens Thanksgiving day,
RW> since we're too broke for a turkey or a ham this year that'll be a
RW> thanksgiving day treat if the weather cooperates.

NB> Without any added expense, besides... :) Don't know what your
NB> forecast is, but for here it's supposed to be sunny and warmer...
   NB> quite pleasant.

Looking that way, rainy and overcast through tomorrow, in
fact I'm holding off on a couple of errands until tomorrow
to avoid the rain. Had thunderstorms Sunday and Monday
   morning about 5:00 a.m.

    RW> I probably wouldn't either were I a driver, but having to
RW> walk here and there, or when I live in the city waiting for
RW> a bus in it gets real old, real quick. THing is, I like the upper

NB> You probably wouldn't mind so much if the sidewalks were kept
NB> properly clear... but that's probably as much a fool's dream where
NB> you are as it is here... A nice warm coat, scarf, hat and mittens
NB> helps with the bus wait, too... ;)

YEah even in the upper midwest where you get it, oftentimes
sidewalks aren't well cleared, and often the bus stop is a
snowdrift . EVen the snow i don't mind wading through,
it's the ice underfoot I don't care for, that and the cold
   .

But around here, no buses even, so a trip to the grocery
store with Kathy's down means throw a backpack on my back
and walk 2 miles, one way.

RW> midwest, Chicago, MInneapolis, etc. That is, I like it fine between
RW> June and OCtober. From about this time until June rolls around though
RW> I dearly detest it, so much so that I"ve told family members don't even
RW> bother to die or get married between OCtober and June, cause I won't
    RW> be there .

NB> Not even May? ;) Surely it's better by then... :)

iT's starting to get toward acceptable, but i've seen some
good ones up north even in April.

   Regards,
              Richard
