WP allows only one active uplink per area, but that uplink can be       easily changed using a single mouse click(in the area properties, not when       writing individual messages). At the same time, an area (us usual) can be       received from multiple uplinks and WP can track that relation per uplink in       its inbuilt area manager (simple frontend for AreaFix). However, the resulting       duplicate mails just up stuffing the dupes folder.
