   I would second that - and in order to determine 'works best' try a restore...   
   a guy I knew used a free backup program to backup on a daily basis and   
   everything worked fine until he actually needed to restore, at which point he   
   discovered that he would have to restore the initial backup than manually   
   restore each daily backup (over a year's worth) to get his system restored to   
   the state it was in before the crash.   
      
   Instead, he went out and bought a Mac.
