   	I did not buy either, I was given the OS. Not W-8 but W-7 was a free upgrade   
   from Toshiba. Getting back to the Start menu, I obviously misunderstood your   
   comment. I do agree that the default is also my cup of tea. After you and Alan   
   mentioned this, I got on my old XP machine and had a look. I did not go fluffy   
   way. I had never seen this before. Thanks for the heads up !
