No. Jean's MacBook Air has a replaceable battery. You can find them on
eBay for around $35 to $50, depending on quality.

The newer MacBook Pro line battery is advertised as non user replaceable
but is still replaceable with the right tools. It supposedly is
   warranted for 1000 cycles.

I'm sure Jean has those special tools to get at just about anything. In
order to service a Mac you need Torx and Star drivers. Apple is
designing their latest line of MacBook Pro Retina machines and even the
iMac 21.5" model with non upgradeable memory. What you order is what you
get for the life of the machine. Not a good trend in my opinion.

We're looking to buy a new notebook computer but this time it won't be a
Mac. Both the NX and BX stock a nice line of Sony Vaio machines at a
considerable discount. Problem is, anything worthwhile in the Vaio line
   approaches $1000. :(

   Regards from sunny Texas.
