Good morning to you, Alan.               AZ> suggesting to Mac-owners currently running last year's OS X 7.x Lion        AZ> that they upgrade to this year's OS X 8.x Mountain Lion, primarily for        AZ> performance improvements).               I can agree with this. It is an ever on-going quest. I keep all my computors       as lean as possible for this.               AZ> When I bought my iPad 2 yrs ago, I got a bluetooth keyboard with it -        AZ> but ended up returning the keyboard (unopened) to the store.... the        AZ> virtual keyboard - while not as usable as a physical keyboard               I saw one in use yesterday, in a book store, it was pitiful. The backspace       key was well worn as much as the space bar.               AZ> I'm not a fan of typing program names into a search field to start them        AZ> up - either in Windows or on the Mac               Again, I have to agree with you. Getting soft with old age ! It is possible       to access a list of all that sits on a W-8 setup. I am not on one at this       boonies site but I remember that I saw it on my home Acer. There will be a       learning curve on this new Windows OS as all new stuff, my curve on the Air       is still quite steep if not vertical.               I will be more logical when I get to run RTM, I will remember to D/L it, it       is 3 days after my wedding anniversary. I still regret your move, and       Charles', to this other machine, as your advices were so pertinent.               On the Air, I found two ABs. One is from the top menu line and the other one       is from a "Write a message" screen. From this second one, we are able to       delete some old addresses, not so from the first one.               I have been trying to use the left thumb to use the spacebar, have you tried       this ? The right end of it gets polished from use.              --- Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:14.0) Gecko/20120713 Thunderbird/14.        * Origin: Fidonet Via Newsreader - http://www.easternstar.info (1:123/789.0)    |
