Grabbed the latest VB offering        AA>> at the Oracle site: version 7.1.4 and 64bit.               TK> Never did anything like this..              7.1.4 definitely wanted Python installed. :(                      AA>> Is there an installation log that documents the issues..               TK> How about something like "C:\Users\tommi\.VirtualBox" ..              Someone else in a blog/usergroup mentioned to try the %temp%/        Roaming/VirtualBox dir, but the log files there did not offer        much.              From someone else's experience, 6.0.20 was considered to be the        last version to support win7, so I tried that. The install        actually finished with that one!              But.. after that, the whole internet connection on the pc        stopped working; the win7 pc could talk to my local network/        router, but there was no connection to the internet beyond        that. I rebooted several times, tried to restart the network        manually several ways - but there was no difference.              That situation was dire. So.. I decided to do a system restore        back to before I started with the Python and VB installs.        That, worked.. and I got internet back.              After this experience, not going to play with VB for at least a        few days.              I would really like the convenience of having a linux OS        operating simultanously on my win7 machine.              Did you need Virtualization enabled in BIOS? My BIOS supports        virtualization, but it's reported as disabled.                     --         ../|ug              --- OpenXP 5.0.58        * Origin: (2:221/1.58)       SEEN-BY: 10/0 1 102/401 103/1 705 105/81 106/201 124/5016 128/187       SEEN-BY: 129/305 153/7715 154/10 203/0 214/22 218/0 1 215 601 700       SEEN-BY: 218/720 810 840 850 860 880 900 940 221/1 6 226/30 227/114       SEEN-BY: 229/110 114 206 300 307 317 400 426 428 470 550 664 700 705       SEEN-BY: 240/1120 266/512 280/464 5003 282/1038 291/111 292/854 301/1       SEEN-BY: 301/113 320/219 322/757 342/200 396/45 423/81 460/58 633/280       SEEN-BY: 712/848 902/26 5075/35       PATH: 221/1 301/1 218/700 229/426           |
