   Doug,

DS> Tea is a diuretic, but better for me than carbonated beverasges.

DC> I love tea! My favorite is PG Tips. I do like darker coffees / teas
DC> though. But my parents were raised in New York and thats what they
DC> drank. I got used to putting too much cream and sugar in either; i'm
DC> down to cream. I can't do diuretic's, as I've had past kidney failure.
DC> Oddly, the doctors said coffee was fine while within the hospital, but
DC> not tea. I can feel the difference too, as the caffine does not impact
DC> me with coffee, but amps up my heart rate with tea. But I love how tea
DC> stays hotter then coffee, even if a coffee press is used. Wierd.

Well, with drinking over a half gallon a day (I'm into heavy drinking ),
you can guess what I'm doing several times a day and night.

DC> I had been away from windows for a good part of 7 years while running
DC> my business. I was able to use my iphone for all business functions.
DC> What I'm not liking about windows 10 is it's apparent attempt to
DC> transition to more of a google chrome environment. I don't like the
DC> "Ap" features, nor the abandonment of 16bit applications, nor the
DC> punisment to 8gb of memory if the 32 bit version of 10 is used. I
DC> always find it odd that either the softare is ahead of the hardware or
DC> visa versa. I think ensuring downward compatibility is important, if
DC> for anything nostalgia. But the push for cloud computing I reject.

DC> I'd rather have my stuff on my system and not tied to a paid format. I
DC> remember being able to load multiple malware programs, each more
DC> effective with particular types, then others. In addition, a free
DC> standing virus program. I uninstalled ALL anti virus and have been
DC> using whats built in to windows 10 now, which works well. I have found
DC> that one program will state all is good, the other will find 10 errors
DC> somewhere and correct, causing the other to freak out. Without knowing
DC> enough about the inner workings of said programs, I, for the moment,
DC> have given up on all of them.

I understand they are now integrating a Linux type shell with it, and it
will be for future versions as well. I think they're doing to that to pick
up the folks that are using Linux. I doubt they could get it set to also
do Mac (Apple) programs...but stranger things have happened.

I have considered putting the BBS in the cloud, so I wouldn't have to
shut it down every time there was a threat of thunderstorms (as there
is to end the month of July, 2020). But, right now, finances are tighter
than a frog's butt underwater, so I have to wait on that.

At one time, the Synchronet Control Panel showed an "alert" with the
IObit Malware deal, but I marked it as a false positive. Windows Defender
screamed "infection" with any other malware detection, except its own. The
only anti-virus program I've known to not "throw a fit" with any other
anti-virus programs, was the one from Sophos. They have what's called the
"Naked Security Blog"...alerting you to all kinds of threats.

DC> Re install it. It works just fine. Maybe you had an older version. I
DC> like firefox, it has an incredible java script instruction guide. So I
DC> keep it around for that purpose if for anything else. It's also as
DC> compatible with web pages as chrome with what appears to be less
DC> invasive notifications and snooping. Tor is my goto, to avoid more
DC> tracking and the such, but it's slower. Edge is horrible, as is the
DC> built in wanna be version of outlook. It's so bad, most attachments
DC> aren't even accessible. I'm slightly disappointed within Win 10, but
DC> ... its the operating system I know. I use powershell more often then
DC> windows anyway. But, I'm planning on connecting my pi4's (3 of them)
DC> and learning linux for the first time, here in a few weeks (which I've
DC> been saying since March, but ... life gets in the way). My kids are
DC> already ahead of me on the PI's. Smh.

I tried that already...no dice. Also, Firefox crashed constantly on
   Facebook.
