In a message on Tuesday 01-24-16 Jean Parrot said to Holger Granholm:              Hi Jean,              A follow up.              JP> In W-10, you can change to any language. Click the small white       JP> window at the very left of the taskbar, click on Settings, this will       JP> open up a menu, full page. At the far left, bottom row, you will       JP> find a choice. Click on it and you will be able to change the       JP> language for the whole OS.              Done that.              JP> I tried to change to French for a friend but got it back to English              JP> I would select US as a local to have proper change done. You do       JP> not have to do all the work yourself ! Let me know what you get.              I've done that, no dice.              Yesterday, I first updated AVG and then went to M$ and updated Win10       to todays stand. Even though I used the US english language setting,       nothing happened to the languages.              Talked to a serviceman at a computer service, and he showed on the       control panel the language setup screen that I may have to import       the language package.              OTOH, my machine does have the package. If I want the british english       available, I have to import that package.              Oh well, I have to do other jobs now, but after that I'll go to a friend       that does nothing else but Windows.              I'll let you know the continued advances.       -----------       In a dec.31st 2015 message you replied:               HG> I will however still use OS/2 on all other machines.              You are a better user than I. I alwasy had problems with this darned       command line stuff.              I forgot to comment on that statement.              There seems to be a misconception among some Windows users that OS/2 is       a command line oriented system.              That is wrong. OS/2 had a GUI already in v2.1 when I installed it 1993.       That GUI grew better with Warp3 and improved again with Warp4 in 1996.              Windows 286 didn't have a GUI interface, but looked like the PCTools       interface, sort of a file manager where you could choose the program       you wanted to run. It was named something like "Executive ....." IRC.              The first Windows real GUI came with Windows v3.0.              You see, I've used Windows since v1.03, until I became an OS/2 addict.                     73 de Sam, OH0NC              aka Holger              ---        þ MR/2 2.30 þ Want to own a small business?
