Now you're jogging some old memories. I recall toying with PCTools as well,
and a bunch of other utils, say, to low-level format HDDs and adjust
   sector-skipping rates, etc. :)

On second thoughts: it's h-e-a-v-y on photo file sizes, so, save it till you
find a fast internet connection. I really must do one or two piccies of the
current Win 8.1 before I blow it away, too. ;)

Yep, they're copping it tough over there. They share pretty much the same
environment as us on the east coast, but it's much much drier. Hence a lot of
   bushfires.

Ooh, this reminds me. My youngest daughter works as a nurse in a remote
hospital in Mount Isa (usually spelled Mt Isa). She was staying with me on
the weekend and happened to, just casually mind you, mention that she works
with a girl from Aland! I'm sure she said Aland. (I'll double-double
check.) I should ask for a name, as well.

   Cheers,
   Paul.
