   I don't know anything for sure, but as I've heard from a number of sources   
   this may be all related to the huge push for intimate detail chasing for   
   anything one does on a browser.  That plus more and more push toward somehow   
   being able to be a something-in-the-middle for ANY use of ANY operating system   
   so as to ramp telecommunications engineering up faster and faster into total   
   control of whomever is the top boss.  I've noticed that there seems to be a   
   greater push into even formal greater and greater 'support' for no matter of   
   what support isn't really 'available' for compilers and so on.  More and more   
   sources of what can be done on any computer seem to be more and more 'private'   
   about what any use can be crafted by other than 'internal' folks.  Who knows   
   where things will wind up when any spring breaks at some point in the twist of   
   life in the wind up of life?
