The press announced last week that MS had released a patch for XP/Vista that   
   turned off Autoplay for USB flash drives (etc) - though not for CD/DVDs. This   
   matches the more secure Autoplay setting in Win7.   
      
   The implication was that XP/Vista users would be getting this automatically   
   through Windows Update.   
      
   Accordion to ComputerWorld, this isn't exactly accurate - apparently the patch   
   is on the 'optional updates' list, so users won't get it unless they   
   explicitly check to have it installed - which I would recommend!
