   Ben,

Thanks for passing this note Bob Rankin wrote for us BBS readers.
   -snip-
I once used Microsoft's Malicious Safety Scanner and told it "I" would
choose for myself what to do with the items it found, but after I
clicked the button for that feature MSS 'fixed' some files it hadn't
told me about, so I've never used MSS since.

I've seen the FixIt options on some pages at Microsoft, and I used one
of them one time when I was told to use it by someone who I feel is
very knowledgeable about the Windows GUI.
   -snip-
I never heard of the Enhanced Mitigation Experience Toolkit
From read what Bob wrote I suppose I ought to at least download it from
Microsoft while I can to use, if ever I needed to, on this XP box.
   -snip-
I already made a Windows Defender Offline CD, even though I know the
definitions aren't up to date, IIRC WDO will update new definitions
   first when it is used.
   -snip-
Contrary to Bob's opinion I probably will grab a copy of MSE
(Microsoft Security Essentials), while I can get it for XP,
but I won't install it I just want to have it available if ever
   I thought it is needed.

Again, Thanks for posting this message of Bob Rankin for me to read.
