   My understanding is that MS listened to the bad input from Vista users and   
   hastened the release of W7, which is supposedly an upgraded Vista, but not   
   in name. Unfortunately, W7 requires different drivers that leaves Vista as   
   another mistake that won't be fixed.   
      
   My laptop came with Vista installed and the W7 upgrade discs.   
      
   Unfortunately there, Dell used a special LAN card that requires an upgrade   
   to the drivers for that, which aren't on the W7 install CDs...getting a   
   driver from Dell is like pulling hen's teeth.
