   In 1998 when I was setting up a new computer lab in a school, we bought   
   Pentium II systems, 266 MHz - they came with 32MB, which we upgraded to a   
   massive 64 MB.   
      
   Pentiums or higher-end 486s work fine as Bob pointed out. I believe the   
   minimum RAM for Win95 may have been 8 MB, though 16 MB worked better.
