   Yesterday while visiting a data shop I was offered a used Thinkpad w/o   
   operating system a 80 Gb HD and 2 Gb RAM. The battery was dead as a   
   cucumber and since I have an extra 160 Gb HD I would have updated that.   
      
   The HD was very easy to pull out from the side of the offered machine   
   but it looked smaller than the one at home. When at home I checked the   
   2.5" (I guess) 160 Gb unit and indeed it was larger than the one in that   
   machine and also the contact strip looked very different.   
      
   I was offered it at USD 200 which is cheap by our standards but I know   
   that the batteries are very costly. That's the reason I haven't replaced   
   the one in my present TP.   
      
   The missing operating system doesn't matter since I do have the english   
   version of XPp and I would anyway also install OS2 Warp 4 on it too.

   Yeah, I remeber that program too and in fact I still have it in my   
   Windows file directory in the BBS. CALMIRA II Rel 3.0.
