XP is a known easy target...              I know Microsoft doesn't care for XP users.       I don't care to purchase another pc, as long as I can turn the power ON       this one.              I recently got a notice from Mozilla Firefox that they will not be updating       Firefox for XP or Vista.              I've played some with Ubuntu and a little bit with Mint.       Mozilla updates Firefox for Ubuntu the last time I looked at U'u.              I'd wish Microsoft would allow someone other than themselves to create       Updates for their unsupported products.       They pay their lawyers, so that will never happen, tho I wish they would.              The last time I looked at a J. C. Whitney auto parts catalog (many years ago)       parts for Ford Model T automobiles were available.              It has been a long time since the last Model T came off the Ford Assembly       Line.              I am beginning to learn some Parts for the Van I drive are not made anymore.       I still drive it.               EV> It doesn't take that much time for the Windows pc to do the updates,        EV> and I feel better after I've done the updates, that maybe the        EV> 'baddies' won't get access to my computer (this time).               ml> it will always be a chase game... you cannot stop what you do not know        ml> about and if they come up with a new way in that nothing detects,        ml> well...              I know there are some folks that enjoy making Malware, but I like having       a DSL connection so I can Log On a BBS, or do other surfing.              I'm sure one of these days, a Malware writer will write something this XP pc       isn't aware of, but I hope not very soon.              If it happens, I won't be reading and writing messages on any BBS, ...       unless I learn of a Local Dial-Up BBS.                     ...
