HG> To make large and fast programs I started using assembler, and later        HG> I learned Turbo Pascal and also tried Turbo C. I stuck with Pascal.               Ah yes, those were the days. Me too BTW.               The PASCAL fido echo was where I spent most of my fido time in the early       1990s. I even got quite a lot of snippets into the SWAG archive. Nowadays all       the old mirrors seem to give you a 404, but my copy is still available at               http://eljaco.se/SWAG/               And the revolutionary concept of embedded assembler code in TP7 did give       programs a real boost, such as in my "The Fastest Pi Calculator Ever":               http://eljaco.se/files/TURBO/CALCPI.ZIP                                   ..              --- Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; sv-SE; rv:1.9.1.16) Gecko/20101125        * Origin: news://eljaco.se (2:203/2)    |
