   the problem is that TB has enforced the format of email addresses and the   
   format used by JamNNTP server is just out of bounds to be proper... the server   
   code needs some work done in this area and no one has stepped up to fix it   
   yet... C/C++ is not my language of choice so i've not done it myself...   
      
   dropping back to an older version of TB is generally not a good idea as you   
   lose all the bug/security fixes that you had...
