Hi! Jean,              On 12/26/2015 08:26 AM, you wrote:               JP> I just got on Thunderbird again for the fun of it. Got version 38.5.0        JP> and I have a small aggravation. VE2NIC.              This sort of nonsense started with the release of T'bird v38.1 back in July.        I made a report in a local echo here, warning users about the sillyness plus       also a fix. I'll quote some of my post here for you...              I had to revert T'bird back to version 31.7.0 using the instructions I found       at:              http://kb.mozillazine.org/Go_back_to_an_old_version_of_Thunderbi       d#Go_back_to_a_recent_release              (All on one line, BTW.) The Lightning add-on took a little extra since the       old one (in fact new & unusable) had to be uninstalled and a matching version       for the old T'bird had to be re-installed. It all went smoothly of course,       since I had backups of everything. That's the only time anything similar ever       goes smoothly.              After doing that, a setting change to stop T'Bird from doing future updates is       required. Hope it helps you, blue leader.              Cheers,       Paul.              --- Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:31.0) Gecko/20100101 Thunderbird/31.4.0        * Origin: Paul's other Linux vBox - Maryborough, Qld, OZ (3:640/1384)    |
