   I bought my APC 500 in 2000 and have since replaced the battery 2008 and   
   2015.   
      
   The manual states that the battery needs to be replaced every 3-6 years.   
      
   Please do the check the pricing carefully. I saved 50 bucks by not   
   ordering a new one from the original supplier.
