   Hej,

   There's a first time for everything, I suppose. (-:

HG> Well, as you may know, you can always use the BM of OS/2. It will be

HG> It was about time! OS/2 had a bootmanager already in v2.1 of 1993.

I know. You may not remember I ran OS/2 since the December 1992 beta and on
through Warp 3. It was very stable. One of the things I really liked about
it is that if a power failure occurred, any and all programs that were running
at the time were restarted when power was restored.

RN> I'm forced to do it this way, rather than wait on M$ to produce a

   RN> Good grief!

HG> No thanks, I'm not that interested in Windows, but I will install
HG> the XP/pro I have to the ThinkPad I'm presently trying to install
    HG> OS/2 on.

It's worse than Usenet. (-8 Do you realize that XP is no longer supported?

HG> That of course means that you have to be able to install OS/2 .....

RN> I figured that, but I can't install Warp on this machine. I've
RN> tried. But I was able to get the Boot Manager from Windows 10 to
   RN> behave. (-:

HG> Nice to learn that. Maybe I will someday fall into the Windows
HG> trap. Well, I've been there until WFWG v3.11.

I'm too old to learn Linux and the one time I did install it, I found the
serial rputines were too buggy for me, so it sits on a shelf with some of the
rest of my junk, The rest of the junk, except for two backup systems, sit on
   the closet floor.

HG> Windows 10 feels tempting and I've been promised the laptop of my
HG> grandson as a XMas gift. That will be complete with Win10.

It does have some "goodies" in it, is somewhat intuitive, but you have to be
careful upon installing that too much of your personal information is not made
available to M$ or anyone else. This can be accomplished by going through the
setup in the Control Panel and turning off some of its defaults.

HG> Christmas comes early here ;o)

   Merry Christmas!

    HG> Have a nice afternoon,

   You too.

   Regards,
