Hi! Holger,              On 10/10/2015 09:44 PM, you wrote:               HG> A chilly weather report from here.              You probably deserve it. ;)               HG> I noted in the Motors TV program guide that Bathurst 1000 TV coverage        HG> starts at 02:00 hrs and ends at 10 o'clock local time. It's live coverage              The 'carnival' is a four day event, starting on the Thursday with the main       race on the Sunday. The topical greeting for the Sunday is now "Happy       Bathurst Day"! :)              There was four hours of continuous coverage on Saturday, and six hours       Sunday. It was a different TV network covering the event(s) this year. The       previous network used to have near 12 hours continuous coverage on both days.              Some fans were camped on Mount Panorama for the prior week. In fact, one       group have been camping on the same area over the last 30-odd years. They       hosted a media interview in their massive tent. Usually it's the other way       around, where a news crew interviews fans. This one was the other way around       with the venue, a BBQ meal & drinkies for the crew provided by the group.              I only j-u-s-t caught the race start due to the time difference, and their       stupid DST. Also, I have a rewind & FF capability with a media box, so I       don't miss much. ;) I missed the finish but caught up on the nightly news.               HG> How is the spring/summer coming on down there?              Hot. Wet & stormy some days. We've had summertime conditions since       mid-to-late September. Roughly 14-28C daily. My youngest daughter's town has       maximums of 36C+ and their long-term drought continues.               HG> Have a nice afternoon,              Thank you! (Spot on.) Be good...              Cheers,       Paul.              --- Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:31.0) Gecko/20100101 Thunderbird/31.4.0        * Origin: Paul's other Linux vBox - Maryborough, Qld, OZ (3:640/1384)    |
