In a message dated 08-31-15, Roger Nelson said to Holger Granholm:

   Howdy Roger,

RN> We are back in the 33C+ for this week, but at least no tropical
   RN> storms are forecast.

Every once in a while, but seldom, a thunderstorm comes creeping in from
the sea but we don't have any cyclones, tropical storms or monsoon rains
   here.

RN> I read somewhere recently that we're supposed to have a colder
RN> winter than is normal for us in this area.

My prognosis also says that we will get a colder winter, as well as
chillier summers the coming years, as we go to a new "small ice age".

The diminishing sunspot numbers, not only as we go to a normal minimum,
but also probably for the next maximum will account for a colder climate
so we may forget the global warming for a while.

I'm old enough to not have to succumb to the new ice age but my children
   and grandchildren will be hit.

HG> The warm sorrounding sea keeps the fall temperatures up while in
HG> the spring when the ice has melted from the sea it keeps the
    HG> temperature down

   RN> A good thing, I hope.

Yeah, it's a bit like a thermos can.

RN> We are still enjoying afternoon thunderstorms and sometimes

You may enjoy the fantastic view of the bolts and thunder as long as you
   don't get hit.

RN> No rain for this week here, so no relief from the heat until the Sun
   RN> sets.

We are expecting a rain front, either this afternoon or night and
prevailing over tomorrow. In august we've had only three or four short
(less than an hour) rain showers and only one overnight rain.

RN> I have an IBM laptop here and if I could get it to work, I could
RN> possibly put Warp on it. But I'm not inclined to open that case
   RN> again. (-:

IBM laptops are nowadays made and sold under the name Lenovo.

RN> I figured that. The 3.5 drives have been tossed aside in favor of
RN> thumb drives, although they are available.

I know, I do however miss the availability of smaller than 2 Gb thumb
drives. I have only one 512 Mb stick and my complete OS/2 setup takes
only 190 Mb. The operating system with GUI amounts to 120 Mb.

RN> I don't like repeating myself, but I'll make an exception for this.
RN> 'It is nice to feel the soft skin of a woman.'

It was e that wrote that you could say it again ;o)

    HG> Have a nice day,

   RN> You too.

   I'll do my best,

   Holger
