   GM Ed,

EV> HyperTerminal is the program in XP, HyperTerminal PE is a later
EV> edition of that program, the PE stands for "Personal Edition".

I have never used any version of Windows for communication, so that's
   why I don't know it.

HG> I have only used one point program and it's FrontDoor APX in my
HG> office machine that actually still has Win 3.11 installed but
    HG> never used now.

EV> Sempoint is a Windows .QWK Reader as SLMR and MultiMail are.

Yes, the name implies that it's a point program as is FrontDoor APX.

I have never used FD APX as a terminal pgm per se, only to connect to
my BBS as a point while sitting at the office machine. Of course I have
used it also as a QWK reader/editor while sitting there.

   EV> I couldn't find the disks but I found TELIX351.ZIP and 2 other .ZIP
   EV> files for Telix.

In my BBS repository I have Telix 3.50 (TLX350.ZIP) that states in the
file_id.diz file that it will be the last Telix/DOS version. Another
Telix file is TLX322.ZIP that says it will stop delays in v3.22.
