That reminds me of the early days when I took up computing in        HG> addition to ham radio.              I miss those single-tasking days. If you had a terminal program open, you were       connected to a BBS and the clock was ticking. If you were writing a document,       you were writing a document. If you were in a spreadsheet, well, you get the       point...              Now, with multitaking OSes and windows desktop environments you can have dozens       of tasks competing for your attention. I can't count the number of times I've       had windows open and completely forgotten what I'd intended to do.              I'm typing this in SyncTerm, running in full screen, and this screen is all I       can see. It's refreshing.       --- SBBSecho 2.27-Win32        * Origin: http://realitycheckbbs.org | tomorrow's retro tech (1:218/700)    |
