DS> The second strike was after I had finished delivering an afternoon       DS> newspaper route for The Miami News (long since gone), on my bicycle, in       DS> a pouring tropical thunderstorm...I looked like I had jumped into the       DS> swimming pool fully dressed. When I got home, I closed the garage door,              I can't count how many times I got drenched, frozen from snow, or other       weather elements while delivering papers when I was younger. Even through       blizzards, storms, you name it. I rode my bike through them all to deliver       the papers.              Even as an adult, I have been caught a few times in some massive thunderstorms       on my Harley. Not fun. I had to dump water out of my shoes from one of them,       but consider myself lucky just to be drenched only. Tree branches were       blowing all over the place in the road, visibility was about zero, and there       was no shoulder to pull onto.              - Mark              --- WWIVToss v.1.51         * Origin: http://www.weather-station.org * Bel Air, MD -USA (1:261/1304.0)    |
