   Howdy! Mark,

I've been trying to update Adobe Flash from 17.0.0.188 to 180.0.0.160
   since 9AM today.

I've read articles on Adobe's web pages to see if I could get some help
   from them.

One page didn't give me anything of interest so I clicked the NO option
when asked if the page was helpful, and got a BLACK RECTANGLE appear
   over the article.

I looked back in my files to read some .PDF's I've saved about Flash.

I learned it was a March 10, 2015 article by Kim Komando suggesting
that the setting for the Shockwave Flash plug-in should be changed to
"Ask to Activate", which I did on 3-12-2015.

A comment in Windows Secrets Forum said the Flash version 17.0.0.188
had problems and to uninstall it first, and then download the
180.0.0.160 version from Adobe, so I did that and still the update
   fails.

While looking to see when I talked about my troubles with Adobe Flash
You said to try uninstalling Flash, so I just did.

I Removed Flash for IE, Firefox and Opera, now to see how things work.

I use NoScript and Ad Block Plus with Firefox as You said You do.

Stay tuned for the next chapter in my adventures with the XP box.

Thanks for Your and other Folks earlier comments about Adobe Flash.
