   HG>My experience is based only on the APC Backup UPS's. When the battery

     I've always used APC UPS units.

   HG>All the APC models (BK-300, BK-500 and BK-650) in my user's manual do   
   HG>have that dip switch for optional settings.   
      
     I think I have 3 of the BK-1500's...but don't know the exact model   
   number offhand. But, as expensive as they were, I hope to just replace   
   the batteries when the time comes.
