     I remember a story on Amateur Radio Newsline a long time ago. Andrew   
   Lloyd Weber, was working with his electronic piano and computer on a new   
   score. His feline cat decided to do its own version of "kitten on the   
   keys", and erased every bit of the score Weber was working on (which was   
   90% done).   
      
   EV>I can't remember whenever the power has failed if I've pressed that   
   EV>button to stop the noise if the blackout lasted over a few seconds.

   EV>starts up, to see if that will shut it up.   
      
     As noted earlier, unless there are storms in the area, or a threat for   
   them...I keep the UPS's plugged in all the time.
