   Nope, absolutely not! Do you mean that if the blackout happens in the   
   middle of the night someone should get up to close down the UPS?   
      
   DS>   There may be a setting with software with the UPS's, or with the

   Usually there is a dip switch on the rear panel where you can chose   
   various parameters, among them BEEP ON/OFF.
