   Windows is so finnicy(sp?) that I rather have the monitor powered by   
   the UPS if the black out lasts long and the beeping continues until   
   everything is shut down.   
      
   I boxed up my CRT Monitor when I bought a LCD Monitor.   
   I'm not sure but think the newer one doesn't grab much power.   
      
   A thought just came to my mind - during a power black out do You, or   
   Anyone else reading this, NOT turn their UPS OFF so the beeping stops?
